Bonjour, I’m Jonathan Zsofi, a motion picture / TVC & film festival director —

I’m a New Zealand born Global Citizen, immersed in Film & TV since the early 00’s.

I split my year between Paris and Melbourne / Auckland and probably a city near you.

From high end TVCs to historical films; my vision and method revolves around ‘what unites us’ within the cinematic artfrom.

DIRECTOR —

When directing — I’m all about pulling out the most authentic and natural moments from characters. When delving into fragments of history I enjoy pulling out moments where characters are at odds; and shine the brightest.

DIRECTOR’S ASST. —

For over 15 years I’ve been working with Director’s famous and infamous to create award winning shows, Features, and countless gorgeous TV Commercials. I create Gig-winning pitches, with fitting imagery and fantastic copy writing.

I run The Ziggurat. We’re an international media group driven by uniting the world through cinema of all kinds. Our ventures start at the first pen-stroke of an idea all the way to showing your work to huge international audiences.

From intimate indie shows to full blown Disney show crowds I can craft an economic schedule or whip a small unruly horde into a high morale cohort. I love the challenge of breaking down a script and making it happen on set. On time, On budget. With a smile.
